I love tamales, all kinds!

It never occurred to me to question my Grandma Perfie’s tamales. I knew they were time-consuming as all getout to make and Grandma showed me how she made them when I was in my forties. Good, right? Well my cousin Kathy commented once on how dry and stingy Grandma’s tamales were and it stirred me to question so many things! Starting with tasty tamales! Luckily my friend Maria and I were able to take a cooking class in Santa Fe. We learned how to make really tasty tamales at the Santa Fe Cooking School. I’m going to assume that even Grandma Perfie would have enjoyed them. Yum!
