Fun times with the Placer Artists Tour

For the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as Communications Director for the Placer Artists Tour. The technical side of the job can be a little challenging at times, which certainly keeps things interesting! But what I enjoy most about this position is meeting, connecting with, and helping local artists.

The Tour takes place every year in early November. This year, we’re featuring 130 artists, galleries, and schools at 80 studio locations!

In the weeks leading up to the Tour, Blue Line Arts Gallery in Roseville hosts a fantastic exhibition and celebration called Taste of the Tour. It features a piece of artwork from nearly every participating artist. The evening includes delicious food donated by local sponsors and benefactors, live music, fun “Grab Bag” surprises for purchase, and, of course, plenty of beverages. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the artists and build excitement for the Tour.

And just look how happy I am at the Taste of the Tour opening! We’re nearly at the finish line of another year’s planning and preparation. Before long, it will be time to start all over again!

I really enjoy being part of this well-oiled Tour team and helping make such a wonderful celebration of our local arts community happen each year.
