MUDCLOTH!

Following a customer tip, I traveled to Berkeley, CA for the weekend flea market at the Ashby BART station to find authentic African mudcloth to make purses. My mom came with me–what fun we had!

The Yelp review was very mixed. There were glowing testimonials about the food, people and mood. There were also warnings about buying your own stolen bicycle back from merchandise that would have been unsold leftovers at your own garage sale. Of course both reviews are accurate!

Mission accomplished for me though; here is what I purchased. I love them and will post pics of the resulting products.
