New Mexico Treasures

Time for a journey–to New Mexico.

Even though my passion is making polymer beads, I also love natural turquoise stones and frequently incorporate them into my pieces. I replenished my turquoise collection at a fantastic mineral/bead shop in Albuquerque, Mama’s Minerals. I picked up a some magnesite and basalt too.

It’s beautiful in the tiny city of Tierra Amarilla. It’s actually the Rio Arriba County seat. Mornings are a peaceful time to create and here is what I made this morning from some unusual copper rings and my own polymer clay beads.
