This collection is currently available at Auburn Old Town Gallery.

The simple and strong bull’s eye attracted me even before I was aware of the powerful symbolism the shape represents. I was inspired to create the symbol with unconventional colors–to use a young and fresh color palette.

Sketch
I began by sketching the shape in a variety of colors

Mix Clay Colors
After selecting 8 color combinations I mixed my clay up in the colors I'd chosen.

Canes
Next I made "canes" of long solid rolls of colored clay. When cut, each slice yields a bull's eye bead.

Now for the fun! Time to play and use the cane slices in a variety of combinations.
